Primo Carnera (The Ambling Alp) was an Italian professional boxer. He was born in Sequals, Italy on October 26, 1906. He was a heavyweight world champion. Carnera died on June 29, 1967 at the age of 60 years. His professional boxing career spanned more than 17 years — from 1928 to 1946.
Carnera was not one of them. On June 26, 1935, four days shy of his 29th birthday, Primo climbed into the ring at Yankee Stadium.
