Lynyrd Skynyrd é uma banda americana de rock formada em 1964, na cidade de Jacksonville, Flórida. Tornou-se conhecida no sul dos Estados Unidos em 1973, ganhando maior notoriedade internacional principalmente após a morte de diversos integrantes e do principal compositor Ronnie Van Zant em um acidente aéreo ocorrido em 1977 próximo a Gillsburg, Mississipi .

Lynyrd Skynyrd. Lynyrd Skynyrd – amerykański zespół southernrockowy, którego początki sięgają 1964. Utworzony w 1965 w Jacksonville na Florydzie. Początkowo znany jako The Wild Thing, The Noble Five i One Per Cent. W 1972 przyjął nazwę Lynyrd Skynyrd (zniekształcając imię i nazwisko znienawidzonego nauczyciela - Leonarda Skinnera).
Before long, a second generation Lynyrd Skynyrd was adding new members and recording new music, despite legal battles with the widows of Van Zant and Gaines over the use of the name. The band’s sixth studio album, “Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991,” was their first collection of new music since 1977’s “Street Survivors."
