Eugene Wesley Roddenberry (El Paso, Texas; 19 de agosto de 1921-Santa Mónica, California; 24 de octubre de 1991) fue un director y productor estadounidense, mundialmente conocido por sus series de ciencia ficción, especialmente por la serie de televisión original y saga, Star Trek.
In 1985, Gene Roddenberry was the first television writer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When the Sci-Fi Channel was launched, the first broadcast was a dedication to two "science fiction pioneers": Isaac Asimov and Roddenberry.
