Pamela Helen Stephenson Connolly (born December 4, 1949) is a New Zealand-born, Australian clinical psychologist, writer, and actress who is now a resident in both the United Kingdom and United States. She is best known for her work as part of the cast of the British sketch show Not The Nine O'Clock News during the 1980s.
Pamela Stephenson was born on 4 December 1949 in Takapuna, Auckland. Stephenson studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. [2] [3] After graduating from NIDA in 1970, [4] : 35 she was engaged by Edgar Metcalfe on a six-month contract for the National Theatre Company, and performed in six plays at The Playhouse Theatre , Perth in 1971.
