KĀMRĀN MIRZĀ NĀYEB-AL-SALṬANA (b. Tehran, 1856; d. Tehran, 1929; Figure 1), minister of war and commander of the armed forces, and intermittently governor of Tehran and a number of provinces.He was the third surviving son of Nāṣer-al-Din Shah.His mother, Monir-al-Salṭana, was the daughter of the shah’s chief architect, Moḥammad-Taqi Khan.
