Hace 1 día · A couple of days ago I breaded one of these, with 2N3904 for Q1, and 2N5088 for Q2. The values you show in the NPN circuit above are generally OK, if you want some more volume, change the 330R to something higher, say 1K, and put a trim pot in the 8K2 spot, adjust for 4.5V on Q2C.
Hace 5 días · The reason I asked, was because Dunlop just announced a release at the NAMN show of the mini Fuzz Faces. In the descrption indicated for the silicon was using "matched" transistors and the germanium using slight "mismatched" transistors.
29 de jun. de 2024 · The circuit posted is for a "positive ground/negative power" fuzz face that uses pnp rather than the more common npn transistors, so ground and power connections are reversed compared to the negative ground buzz fuss.
10 de jun. de 2024 · The black unit features two Darlington pairs of Soviet MP-40a Germanium transistors, while the trippy unit uses Sziklai pairs with silicon NPNs and the aforementioned MP-40a as the PNP. The Darlington unit has a high gain sound, but still that mellowed high end of a Germanium fuzz.

21 de jun. de 2024 · Modded fuzz face. Alrighty, I made a post a few days ago asking for help because this thing was oscillating like crazy, thanks everyone commented with suggestions! Helped a ton, ended up gutting and creating a new board. Real quiet now! Mods from the standard circuit are: 470ohm up to 1k. put a 100k trim to fine tune q1 bias.
