T. J. Hooker is an American police drama television program starring William Shatner in the title role as a 15-year veteran police sergeant. The series premiered as a mid-season replacement on March 13, 1982, on ABC and ran on the network until May 4, 1985.
Officer Jim Corrigan is a veteran of the San Francisco police department and friend of Sgt. Hooker, as well as an initially-unwilling partner of Stacy Sheridan. His reluctance stems from having a partner killed while partnered with a female cop because Corrigan was off on sick leave.
With William Shatner, Adrian Zmed, Heather Locklear, James Darren. An attractive woman, whom Hooker tickets for running a red light, finds that her friend has been robbed and raped. She aids Hooker as they try to identify the violent gang and they quickly fall in love.
Hooker survives, the baddies escape but Hooker's young partner Officer Vince Romano (Adrian Zmed) is blinded (corneal scarring) possibly permanently. Hooker vows to find the assailants as does Romano's girlfriend Officer Maggie Paine (Karen Kopins) who rides with Hooker in temporary stead of Romano.
