Chapter 1: King of Pride Rock. It was the day he couldn't wait for. It was the dawn that couldn't arrive too soon. The moment when the sun would rise on his time and greet him as the new King. At long last, the world had awoken, the sun had risen, the rocks of the throne were bathed in golden light, and all were beckoning him to go out there.
A young lion with a golden coat, amber eyes and a almost fully grown mane awoke with an uneasy feeling. This lion was King Kion and he awoke feeling really confused. Then he looked over and saw his mate, Queen Rani, asleep next to him.
