27 de jun. de 2024 · So I've been a huge fan of the 5150 tone from Van Halen's 1986 Album of the same name since I've heard it. It's been the most enigmatic tone I've ever heard and I've always tried to recreate it. I think I finally made a break through and would love feedback on where I've gotten so far.
27 de jun. de 2024 · But 5150 has always been a tough tone to nail because the detune has to be just right. I'm looking forward to 'stealing' your pitch setup to add to my main preset because I love playing that song. It also impresses my long time buddies who are all VH nuts like me.

14 de jun. de 2024 · Definitely hear a chorus effect on Women in Love, but what other effects were used? I love guitar pedals and got the MXR Phase 90 because of Ain’t Talkin Bout Love. Debating on getting the EVH 5150 overdrive, EVH 5150 chorus pedal, EVH phaser, EVH wah and my personal favorite the EVH flanger pedal. I love his guitar effects!
