  1. Alan Jeffrey " Jerry " Nussbaum (born December 17, 1947) is an American linguist of the Indo-European languages and a classical philologist, best known for his work on the language of the Homeric epics and modern and Proto-Indo-European nominals.

  2. Overview. The research Nussbaum has done has been on two different sets of things. On one side he's been interested in Indo-European linguistics in general, where most of his attention has been on questions the inflectional and (especially) derivational morphology of nominal forms in the reconstructed protolanguage.
