Whiskey Falls – Maureen Walling. Simply put, this is one of the most beautiful waterfalls to be found. Quintessential west slope Sierra Nevada. Mushroom shaped drop and in the leaner months of summer, you can walk behind the falls. Be wary of the wet slippery granite though.
The Whiskey Falls Hike is a magical walk through enchanting forestlands to the mesmerizing cascades. This route is a busy snowmobile trail in the winter months, but it transforms into a secluded nature walk to the snowmelt cascades.
Head out on this 4.7-km out-and-back trail near North Fork, California. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 1 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring.
