It features session drummer Graham Lant and was produced by fellow Kitchenware artist David Brewis of The Kane Gang. The songs were written over a 7-year period, and the album was titled Swoon, standing for 'Songs Written out of Necessity'.

Prefab Sprout é unha banda de pop-rock británica que se formou en Durham, a finais da década dos setenta, cos irmáns Paddy e Martin McAlloon, quen recrutaron ao batería Neil Conti, para iniciar un grupo musical. Posteriormente integrouse Wendy Smith, quen formaba parte dun grupo de seguidoras da banda e co tempo logrou ser baixista e cantar coros.
