Walking in Space is a 1969 studio album by Quincy Jones. The album was recorded for A&M who released the album with a cover photo of Jones taken by Pete Turner. Vocalist Valerie Simpson is featured on the title track, an arrangement of a song from the hit rock musical Hair.

14 de mar. de 2023 · Toots Thielemans plays magical harmonica for Mandel’s “I Never Told You.” Dramatic and powerful. Again, this was arranged by Bob James, and it is the only piece on the album with conventional “flashy” big band harmony.
Jean-Baptiste Frédéric Isidor, Baron Thielemans (29 April 1922 – 22 August 2016), known professionally as Toots Thielemans ( [tuts tiləmans] ), was a Belgian jazz musician. He was mostly known for playing the chromatic harmonica, as well as his guitar and whistling skills, and composing.
There’s the sheer elegance and pathos of Toots Thielemans and Jerome Richardson, on harmonica and soprano sax respectively, rendering Johnny Mandel’s “I Never Told You.”
