Diz Derrick. B. J. Wilson. The Paramounts were an English beat group based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. [1] They had one hit single with their cover version of "Poison Ivy", which reached No. 35 on the UK Singles Chart in 1964, [2] but are primarily known as the forerunner to Procol Harum .

Scott left the band and Brooker took on his vocals. Copping departed in 1962 and was replaced on bass by Graham 'Diz' Derrick. The group had moderate chart success with the cover single "Poison Ivy" after signing to Parlophone late in 1963. They appeared on both "Ready! Steady! Go!"

Diz Derrick. bass. 1944年12月11日生まれ。 エセックス州アップミンスター出身。 本名Grahame Derrick。 1962年末に大学進学のため脱退した Chris Copping の後任としてサウスエンドのビート・バンド The Paramounts に参加。 1963年に「シェイズ・クラブ」の専属バンドに抜擢され、EMIのプロデューサーにスカウトされる。 Parlophoneとの契約を得て同年末にリリースしたデビュー・シングル「Poison Ivy」がシングル・チャートの35位まで上昇するヒットとなり、人気グループに。 1966年までに計6枚シングルとEP1枚を発表。 グループ解散後は音楽を廃業した。
