Byron Berline. American fiddle player. Born July 6, 1944 in Caldwell, Kansas. Died July 10, 2021 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Berline owned and operated the Double Stop Fiddle Shop in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where John Hickman works as luthier.
11 de jul. de 2021 · Byron Berline was a sublime fiddle player, and a generous spirit. When I was a goofy college kid in the late 70s working hard on fiddle music, I met him at a festival in Southern California and he invited me to his home and spent most of an afternoon teaching me stuff.
