Nuremberg: Its Lesson for Today shows how the international prosecutors built their case against the top Nazi war criminals using the Nazis’ own films and records. The trial established the “Nuremberg principles,” laying the foundation for all subsequent trials for crimes against the peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
The film, directed by Pare Lorentz and Stuart Schulberg, shows footage from the trial of Nazi war criminals by the International Military Tribunal. It also intermixes historical footage depicting the founding of the Nazi state, the unleashing of World War II, and Nazi crimes against humanity.

Film on Nuremberg trials is restored 62 years after its premiere. Nuremberg: Its Lesson for Today premiered at The Hague, home of the International Criminal Court, in November 2009, followed by a presentation at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2010.
