Anne Shelton OBE (born Patricia Jacqueline Sibley, 10 November 1923 – 31 July 1994) was a popular English vocalist, who is remembered for providing inspirational songs for soldiers both on radio broadcasts, and in person, at British military bases during the Second World War.
Because of his radio broadcasts, British listeners began to notice the bright, fresh Farnon sound, and Decca released one of the finest Light Music 78s ever recorded - "Jumping Bean" paired with "Portrait Of A Flirt" - near the end of 1948.
Robert Farnon originally did By Candlelight, Come Dance with Me, The More I See You, That Italian Summer and other songs. Robert Farnon wrote Colditz March [Theme from Colditz], Country Girl and The Westminster Waltz.
