Lee quickly assembled a new band, including guitarist Jay Donnellan, drummer George Suranovich and bassist Frank Fayad. The album was rehearsed at Lee's house, and he later rented equipment from Wally Heider Studios with his own money and recorded the album in the Hollywood manufacturing district.
Arthur Lee, as the only remaining member, convened a new lineup of Love with Jay Donnellan (soon replaced by Gary Rowles) on guitar, Frank Fayad on bass, and George Suranovich on drums. This lineup played in a blues rock style, as opposed to the folk-rock and psychedelic styles of the band's previous incarnation.

Here's a standout song from the LP "Four Sail". Dig the bass tone. I thought maybe a Maestro Brassmaster, but, I believe it's just good old fashioned overdrive.
