After a lengthy hiatus, the franchise was revived in 2015 with the direct-to-video release of its first prequel Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer’s Curse which starred Julian Morris ( Pretty Little Liars ) and featured a dragon voiced by Oscar-winning British actor Ben Kingsley.
