Our Favourite Shop is the second studio album by The Style Council. It was released on 8 June 1985 and reached No_1 in the UK charts. Recorded ten months after the band's debut Café Bleu. It features guest vocalists, including Lenny Henry, Tracie Young, and Dee C Lee.
Formed in 1982, The Style Council saw Weller and keyboardist Mick Talbot jettisoning rock in favor of the R&B influences that had become increasingly prominent in The Jam. Combining those flavors with jazzy pop, they scored 1983 UK hits with “Speak Like a Child” and “Long Hot Summer.”.
