Christopher Nicol [1] Bowman (March 30, 1967 – January 10, 2008) was an American figure skater. He was a two-time World medalist (silver in 1989, bronze in 1990), the 1983 World Junior champion, and a two-time U.S. national champion.
Christopher Bowman was one of the most puzzling American figure skaters ever. Immensely talented, Bowman was always expected to become the next great American male skater, but it never truly came to pass. In 1983 Bowman won the US Juniors and the World Juniors.

He is a fellow of the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Medicine, and the National Academy of Inventors, and has received many awards and honors for his research on photopolymerization and biomaterials.
