Matthew Robert Scurfield (born March 10, 1976, in Sarnia, Ontario) is a Canadian-born American musician and songwriter from Massachusetts. He is a drummer and a notable figure in the progressive rock scene.
Drummer - Teacher. Matt Scurfield knew he wanted a career in music since the age of five. He began playing drums at age 10 in 1986 spending his free time throughout his school years taking private lessons.

As a touring artist and music educator Matt endorses Pearl Drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Evans Drumheads, and Drum Tacs. Matt has been providing private drum lessons to students in Massachusetts since 1994. One on one Lessons are currently available at Band Stand Live Rock Academy in Taunton, MA.
