Red River Drifter is the thirty-third album by American singer-songwriter Michael Martin Murphey.

In July 2013, Murphey released Red River Drifter, his first album of all new original songs in 20 years. The album reached number three on the Billboard Top Bluegrass Albums chart. [23] He was named among the top 50 Greatest Country & Western singers by American Cowboy magazine.

Michael Martin Murphey has spent much of the past couple of decades focusing primarily on cowboy songs, both with originals and covering classics.
