16 de mar. de 2010 · Dan Achen, former guitarist of '90s alt-rock band Junkhouse, passed away of a suspected heart attack while playing hockey in 2010. He was also a producer and co-produced Alexisonfire's Juno-winning album Bring Me Your Love.
Formed in 1989 in Hamilton, Ontario, the band consisted of vocalist and guitarist Tom Wilson, guitarist Dan Achen, bassist Russ Wilson (no relation to Tom), and drummer Ray Farrugia. The band got its first widespread exposure opening for Crash Vegas on that band's tour to support their debut album, Red Earth .

He was also the owner of Catherine North Studios, where a number of Canadian music stars recorded (Feist, Kathleen Edwards, Marble Index, and many more).
