Throbbing Gristle (en español: Cartílago palpitante) fue una banda británica de industrial que evolucionó del grupo performance llamado COUM Transmissions. Los miembros fundadores de Throbbing Gristle fueron Chris Carter , Genesis P-Orridge , Cosey Fanni Tutti y Peter Christopherson .
Throbbing Gristle were an English music and visual arts group formed in Kingston upon Hull by Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti, later joined by Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Chris Carter. They are widely regarded as pioneers of industrial music.
Featuring Cosey Fanni Tutti and Jill Westwood, along with a filmed contribution by Caroline Coon, this event takes their diverse bodies of work as the starting point to explore the role of erotic self-representation in destabilising conventional attitudes towards gender roles and sexuality.
