Niki Tsongas (b. April 26, 1946, in Chico, CA) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives representing Massachusetts' 3rd Congressional District. Tsongas was first elected to the House in a 2007 special election replacing Rep. Marty Meehan, who resigned to become the Chancellor of University of Massachusetts Lowell.
