Berry Louis Cannon (March 22, 1935 – February 17, 1969) was an American aquanaut who served on the SEALAB II and III projects of the U.S. Navy. Cannon died of carbon dioxide poisoning while attempting to repair SEALAB III.

The Sealab III habitat was sitting on the bottom at 610' (185M) off San Clemente Island, 52 miles (83 Km) off San Diego -- nearly three times deeper than Sealab II.
CANNON, Berry Louis (1935-1969) [SS#263-50-5350], 33-year-old aquanaut who died aboard Sealab III at a depth of 610 feet off San Clemente Island on February 17, 1969. An autopsey concluded his death was caused by carbon dioxide asphyxiation.
