Nick Flynn (born January 26, 1960) is an American writer, playwright, and poet. Life and career. Nick Flynn was raised by his mother in Scituate, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston . Nick Flynn is a writer who explores his family history and social issues in both poetry and prose. He has won several awards and published books such as Some Ether, The Ticking Is the Bomb, and Another Bullshit Night in Suck City.
Nick Flynn is the author of twelve books, including the memoirs Another Bullshit Night in Suck City and This Is the Night Our House Will Catch Fire, and the poetry collections I Will Destroy You and My Feelings. He has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Library of Congress, and his work explores themes of trauma, survival, art, and ethics.
