Dorothy Catherine Fontana (March 25, 1939 – December 2, 2019) [1] was an American television script writer and story editor, best known for her work on the original Star Trek series. [2]

D.C. Fontana (1939-2019) was a pioneering female author who worked on Star Trek, Logan's Run, Babylon 5 and other sci-fi shows and movies. She also wrote novels, taught at the American Film Institute and was inducted into the American Screenwriters Association Hall of Fame.
