Peter Thomas Taylor (2 July 1928 – 4 October 1990) was an English football player and manager. A goalkeeper with a modest playing career, he went on to work in management alongside Brian Clough at Derby County and Nottingham Forest, winning the Football League with both clubs and the European Cup twice with Nottingham Forest.

29 de abr. de 2016 · Peter Taylor died while on holiday in Majorca on 4 October, 1990 at the age of 62 and the two had still not made-up, but the loss affected Clough deeply. On hearing of Taylor’s death he was unable to speak, wept heavily and could not even bring himself to sit near the front at the funeral.
On 16 July 1976, Peter Taylor re-joined Clough as his Assistant Manager, which he had been when winning the league at Derby. Taylor included being the club's talent spotter in his role.
