Ray Moore was previously assistant to Mandrake artist Phil Davis. A Sunday strip version of the Phantom was added on May 28, 1939. During the war, Falk joined the Office of War Information where he became chief of his radio foreign language division.
The strip was launched June 11, 1934 with Davis illustrating and Falk scripting. One of Davis' assistants was Ray Moore, who later became the first artist on Falk's other comic strip, The Phantom, also distributed by King Features.
For the benefit of Phantom fans, The Singh Brotherhood contains a few in-built mysteries: Watch for the scene when the Phantom is tied to a post (or pipe) in Achmed’s mansion, about to be tortured by the evil Wing Loo.
