Isabel Jeans (Londres, 16 de septiembre de 1891 – Ibidem 4 de septiembre de 1985) fue una actriz teatral y cinematográfica de nacionalidad británica conocida, entre otros trabajos, por sus actuaciones en varias películas dirigidas por Alfred Hitchcock.
Isabel Jeans (16 September 1891 – 4 September 1985) was an English stage and film actress known for her roles in several Alfred Hitchcock films and her portrayal of Aunt Alicia in the 1958 musical film Gigi.
Actress: Gigi. Stately Isabel Jeans was brought to Hollywood by the director Anatole Litvak to appear as Fermonde Dupond in his comedy Tovarich (1937). The daughter of an art critic, Frederick George Jeans, she had aspired to be a singer but instead forged a career on the stage.
Elegant, courtly British character actress long on the stage who played a couple of top roles in Alfred Hitchcock 's silent films, Downhill (1927) and Easy Virtue (1927), then went to Hollywood and settled into a number of grande dames, for Hitchcock ( Suspicion (1941)) and many others.
