Nagamasa Azai is the daimyo of the Azai Clan, husband of Oichi, the brother-in-law to Nobunaga Oda and an ally of Yoshikage Asakura. He has a sister named Maria Kyogoku. He is only mentioned in Sengoku Basara 3 within Oichi's dialogues, showing the decline and abyss of Oichi's mental state.
Upon agreeing to the alliance with Nagamasa Azai, Nobunaga and his forces must provide an escort and protect Oichi's carriage from enemies while traveling to meet her betrothed. Later in the game, she tearfully returns to the Oda after Nobunaga defeats the Azai clan.
