Mit Händels Oratorium Theodora, ein Werk über religiöse Toleranz, christliche Tugenden und humanistische Werte, gelangte gestern die zweite Produktion der Saison 23/24 zur Premiere. Regisseur Stefan Herheim inszenierete dieses “Fanal der Musiktheatergeschichte” und verwandelte die Bühne der Halle E in eine monumentale Kaffeehaus-Kathedrale.
