Elmhurst works tirelessly to obtain government and bursary funding for students so that talented young dancers can access our world class education and training regardless of their families’ financial circumstances. In the Lower School eligible students can access means-tested grant funding from the government’s Music and Dance Scheme (MDS).

Our People. We are proud to be a world class centre of excellence for the training and education of classical ballet dancers where graduating students are prepared to secure contracts with national and international ballet companies. Teachers come from successful professional dance backgrounds and teach with passion and commitment.

Elmhurst is an independent school for classical ballet students aged 11-19 years’ old. Entry to the school is by audition with students joining from Year 7 onwards and graduating after Year 14. In a typical year, 80% of our students receive financial assistance to train with us.
