Paul Winchell Paul Winchell was an American ventriloquist and voice actor, whose career flourished in the 1950s and 1960s. During the mid-1960s, he hosted the children’s television show Winchell-Mahoney Time.Winchell was also an amateur inventor, becoming the first person to build and patent a mechanical, artificial heart, implantable in the chest cavity.

27 de jun. de 2005 · Paul Winchell, who delighted generations of children through his work as a ventriloquist and as the voice of numerous animated characters, most memorably that of Tigger, the vivacious, spring-tailed cohort of Winnie the Pooh, died June 24 at his home in Moorpark, California. Winchell, who passed away in his sleep, was 82 years old.
