Oona O'Neill (1925-1991) was the only daughter of Eugene O'Neill, America's preeminent playwright, and Agnes Boulton, a writer whose family was sometime residents of Point Pleasant. At the age of 18 Oona married Charlie Chaplin, who is still considered to be the cinema's most celebrated comedian-director.
Oona, Lady Chaplin (née O'Neill) (14 May 1925 – 27 September 1991) was the fourth wife and later widow of British comic and filmmaker Sir Charles "Charlie" Chaplin. She was the daughter of Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Eugene O'Neill and writer Agnes Boulton.
