Acteur, réalisateur et producteur américain, Griffin Dunne est le fils du producteur Dominick Dunne. Il débute très jeune au théâtre au cours des années 70, mais se fait surtout connaître au cinéma au début des années 80 grâce à sa prestation dans Le loup-garou de Londres (Landis, 1981). Il interprète aussi le rôle principal d’un autre film culte, After Hours (Scorsese, 1985).
