I come from a foster background; my grandparents fostered seven children; the youngest a similar age to me. Fostering was always part of our long-term plan, after we had raised both birth children we intended to have. And then our daughter died.

Workers built a man-made reef in 6 to 10 feet of water right off the beach. It is about 800 feet long and is located in front of a lifeguard stand.
