Hace 4 días · Clewer was divided in 1894 into Clewer Without and Clewer Within, the latter comprising the eastern part of the parish, which is within the borough of Windsor. Clewer Without has an area of 1,900 acres, of which about three-quarters are permanent grass, while the amount of arable land is about twice that of the woods and plantations.

The Brocas Chapel there was founded by the Black Prince’s great friend, Sir Bernard Brocas of Clewer Brocas Manor, in 1384. It is a memorial to his wife, Mary, who brought him the hereditary position of Master of the Royal Buckhounds. The hermits of nearby St Leonard’s Chapel appear to have been the chantry priests.

Clewer Park can be found within the village of Clewer to the west of Windsor, England. Today Clewer Park consists of a small estate of residential homes built during the mid-1950s and a public open parkland. In former times this land was occupied by the Clewer Park estate.
