It's also their first album since Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice's reunion tour with Black Sabbath. The European release was on Vertigo, in October 1993; the U.S. release was on Reprise Records, in January 1994.

Az 1994-es Strange Highways az amerikai Dio heavy metal zenekar hatodik nagylemeze. Ronnie James Dio és Vinny Appice távozott az újraegyesített Black Sabbathból, és visszatértek Dio szólózenekarához. Mivel Dio kapcsolata megromlott Craig Goldy-val, az együttes gitárosa Tracy Grijalva lett.
Strange Highways è il sesto album della band heavy metal Dio, pubblicato nel 1993 dalla Reprise Records.Conclusa l'esperienza con i Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio decise di riformare i Dio insieme a Vinny Appice e reclutando Jeff Pilson (ex-Dokken) al basso e Tracy G alla chitarra.Quest'ultimo aveva già lavorato con Appice nel progetto WWIII, realizzando un album nel 1991.
