In 1980, Sarah Lawrence College launched the nation’s first master’s degree program in the field of health advocacy. Building on this legacy, the Health Advocacy Program (HAP) offers both a Master of Arts degree and advanced certificates in a completely online and asynchronous fashion, allowing individuals to tailor their education to their needs and interests.

Humanities. Sarah Lawrence offers courses in French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish language and literature, and Ancient Latin and Greek; a variety of courses in art history, film history, and music history; literature courses in everything from ancient Greek theatre to the grammar of narrative; and courses in philosophy and religion.
Staff members from Oxford and Sarah Lawrence College work with students to ensure the appropriate first-term tutorials are chosen. Oxford faculty members, referred to as tutors, are assigned to teach tutorials based on their respective backgrounds and experiences, as well as the student’s level of interest and expertise in the subject matter.
