Her early work using her maiden name included a stint in the British Blues band Chicken Shack, recording two albums before departing in 1969.

The song " I'd Rather Go Blind " in the original album " Christine Perfect " is missing in the reissue CD. Tracks 1 to 8, 10, 11 and 13 recorded at CBS Studio, New Bond Street, London, during August and December 1969.
