This was a specialist college of education and practice-based arts, affiliated to the University of Leeds, and the home of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

I joined the department in April 2001 having spent the previous seven years teaching science and environmental biology to student teachers at Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds.
