Doris Buffett, known as a retail philanthropist, died at her home in Rockport on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at the age of 92. The following tribute was sent to UMA Rockland‘s Director, Deborah Meehan, by Shaun Libby, an inmate at the Maine State Prison.
Since it was opened in the fall of 1997, the Buffett Genealogy Center has grown in resources and use. Housed in the J.A. Stahl Library in West Point, the Leila Stahl Buffett Genealogy Center was funded by a grant from the Sunshine Lady Foundation, Inc., whose founder, Doris Buffett Bryant, is the daughter of the late Mrs. Buffett and the granddaughter of the late Mr. Stahl.
