Minutemen are hands down my favorite punk band and one of my favorite bands period. Hearing Double Nickels was a really seminal moment for me, because it stretched my thinking of what punk could be and sound like. D. Boon's guitar playing was so talented and so unique (especially for the LA scene), but the thing about Minutemen that stands out to me is how unified and tight they sound.
