The most famous exponent of Deconstructivist building design is the Canadian-American Pritzker Prize-winning Frank O. Gehry (b.1929), one of the leading American Architects of the postmodern era.

Renowned for her dynamic, curving forms and powerful, elongated structures, she achieved a groundbreaking milestone in 2004 by becoming the first woman to be honored with the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize.
