  3. Gunsmoke: The Last Apache. James Arness rides again as Matt Dillon, the US Marshal he made popular in the 1955-75 TV series. In this movie he goes after a renegade Apache named Wolf (Joe Lara) who has taken his daughter captive. As a bargaining chip, Dillon helps two sons of Apache chief Geronimo out of the fort stockade and offers them in trade.

  5. 11 de may. de 2004 · I wish that the five Gunsmoke made-for-TV movies had been included in the series mega box set. That said, this set of the first three movies is a great value for the money. The colours are vivid. Only the 4:3 aspect ratio dates the movies. In Return to Dodge, It was great to see Amanda Blake return in the role of Kitty.

Few need to be told what his western depicted, it's the story of Marshall Matt Dillon (played to perfection by James Arness), who tamed the lawless Dodge City, Kansas, not only with his gun but with his courage, sense of honor, justice and irreproachable integrity behind the badge.
