The John Thomas Dye School is located in Los Angeles, California, on an 11-acre campus in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Since its founding in 1929, JTD has stayed true to the purpose of our founders, Cathryn and John Dye, to provide a nurturing environment “based on high ideals, integrity, and the quality of excellence.”

What are even considered the top schools in LA for LA it's Harvard-Westlake or Marlborough for the smarties (lots of producers kids). The elementary feeders to these two are John Thomas Dye (preppy kids, more east coast), Center for Early Education (Blue Ivy goes here!) and Carlthorp in Santa Monica (Murdoch kids here)
As the culminating year of the JTD experience, Grade 6 students have much to look forward to as the leaders of the school. Students in Grade 6 continue to learn in the departmentalized model by subject, moving from class to class throughout the day. Grade 6 students are organized into two sections of approximately 24 students for their classes.
In order to do this, faculty routinely partner with The Student Success Team. The Student Success Team (SST) is a collaboration between the School Counselor, Student Success Teachers, School Nurse, and division heads.
