Trivia Linda Harrison returned to play a brief cameo role in Tim Burton 's re-imagining, as did her Planet of the Apes co-star Charlton Heston. The 2001 movie was produced by Harrison's ex-husband Richard D. Zanuck, who was 20th Century Fox 's head of production on the original film. The fact that the woman says nothing references the fact that Linda Harrison's other character, Nova, was mute.
